I was born in Long Beach and raised in Cypress, CA. I made the decision to attend law school during my senior year at Cypress High School in 1982. It was as lofty a goal as I could dream.

     I attended Cypress College then transferred to UCLA where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science in 1987. After graduation I began working at the field office of the Federal Communications Commission in Cerritos, CA. I spent nine years with the FCC. During the first eight years, I did public speaking, field enforcement and inspections. The last year I worked in Gettysburg, PA helping to launch their national call center.

     While working at the FCC, I attended Western State University College of Law in Fullerton and graduated in 1994. In 1997, I launched Ritter Radio, Inc. and began work as a spectrum broker. I spent the next several years working exclusively as a contractor for Nextel Communications, Inc. acquiring spectrum for their expanding nationwide wireless network. I have worked closely with large telecommunications companies and law firms and have gained extensive experience in transactional law.

     In 2004, the Law Office of Michael H. Ritter was established. In addition to telecommunications brokering and law, I offer counsel and representation on a variety of both business and personal matters including business and corporate law, estate planning, and family law. I am a California license real estate broker handling transactions, contracts and disputes.

     I live in Carlsbad, CA with my wife and daughter. I am active in my church and community. For balance, I enjoy golf, travel, and reading. My passion is to help others to live more comfortably and enjoy life.
